Seconds Chances Books On Sale Now!

2nd-Cover

Second Chances: The Rescue Dogs of Madison County is a beautifully crafted book that tells the heart-warming stories of 36 rescue dogs and their families, photographed at landmark and historic locations throughout Madison County. This book is the result of collaboration between renowned author Donna Castellano and photographer Dog Brewster, with book design by Leslie Franklin and Diane Strickland.

This book is simply a must-have for anyone interested in animals and will certainly be a coffee table book that is not left sitting on the table untouched. From the beautiful cover to every single story and photograph, the book is truly a work of art. We are fortunate to have Mayor Battle write the prologue to this book, which set the pace for the wonderful stories written by Donna Castellano. The proceeds from the book will be used as seed money for the construction of a new, state of the art shelter as the future home of GHHS.

This very special project requires a very special creative team.  Doug Brewster, a nationally-recognized photographer whose work can be seen in the book A Walking Tour of Historic Mooresville, photographed our dogs.  Their stories are told by Donna Castellano, creator and author of Through the Garden Gate: The Gardens of Historic Huntsville.  The book is designed by Diane Strickland and Leslie Franklin.
